Recent official forecasts from sources including the China Meteorological Administration and international models such as GFS indicate a daily maximum near 30°C for Shanghai on September 20, driven by northerly winds under mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies with low precipitation chances and moderate humidity around 50-60%. This positions 29–30°C as the most likely outcomes, consistent with late-September climatology after peak summer warmth and ahead of potential cooling later in the month. Short-term model runs show limited spread, though exact peak timing and localized urban heat effects introduce minor uncertainty; updated guidance from monitoring agencies over the next 48 hours will refine resolution criteria for the market.
