**Northeast winds from a post-storm pattern are steering cooler air across the Chicago area, driving the market toward a September 20 overnight low in the upper 50s to mid-60s.** Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble forecasts show breezy northeast flow off Lake Michigan limiting daytime highs near 68–70°F while producing minimum temperatures of 57–60°F, with the lowest readings expected late on the 20th or early the 21st. Persistent cloud cover and residual moisture from the weekend system reduce radiational cooling but keep the air mass moderated. Trader consensus, reflected in the heavy weighting on 60–65°F bins, aligns with this model consensus and historical September climatology near 57°F, though small forecast shifts in wind strength or timing could still move the exact minimum within the leading ranges.
