Primary elections in South Carolina are scheduled to be held on June 9, 2026, with a runoff election scheduled to be held on June 23, 2026. This market will resolve according to the winner of the most votes in the first round of the Republican Primary for Governor of South Carolina. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to “Other.” The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the State of South Carolina, such as official statewide results published by the South Carolina Election Commission (https://scvotes.gov/); however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Trump’s late endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette has consolidated Republican primary support in the open 2026 South Carolina governor’s race following term limits on incumbent Henry McMaster. As the sitting lieutenant governor, Evette benefits from statewide name recognition, party infrastructure, and alignment with key conservative priorities that have translated into a commanding lead among voters in the June 9 first round. The remaining candidates, including Attorney General Alan Wilson and members of Congress Nancy Mace and Ralph Norman, split the balance of support without mounting a serious challenge. While the market reflects strong trader consensus on an Evette first-round victory, an unusually large late swing in absentee or provisional ballots or formal contestation of results could still alter the outcome before certification.
