Vancouver's October 17 municipal election features a crowded field that has kept trader odds tight among the top contenders. Recent August 2026 polling shows incumbent Ken Sim leading decided voters at 22-30 percent amid more than one-quarter undecided, while Pete Fry and Kareem Allam remain closely matched for second. Housing affordability continues as the dominant local issue, with opposition fragmentation preventing any single challenger from consolidating support against the ABC Vancouver incumbent. Upcoming voter registration deadlines and further candidate debates could shift momentum before ballots are cast.
