Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Dallas on September 15, 2026, converge on afternoon highs near 100–101°F under persistent high pressure, clear skies, and southerly flow. Strong solar insolation combined with warm-air advection and minimal cloud cover supports peak surface heating, while light winds limit mixing that could otherwise moderate temperatures. Historical climatology shows a 1991–2020 average high of about 90°F, with the all-time September 15 record at 101°F, providing context for why current conditions favor the upper end of typical late-summer values. Slight differences among model runs in boundary-layer moisture or exact ridge position create the observed spread across 98–102°F bins, with lower-probability outcomes reflecting potential minor forecast shifts or measurement variations at official stations before resolution.
