Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a high near 74–75°F for San Francisco on September 10, following a warmer Wednesday influenced by offshore flow and reduced marine-layer stratus. Trader consensus clusters around 78–81°F because of lingering uncertainty in the timing and depth of the Pacific marine layer, which can form overnight and limit daytime warming through increased cloud cover and onshore westerlies. Historical September averages near 70.5°F and recent September readings (69–81°F) provide context, yet variable model solutions for sea-breeze onset and any residual thermal trough keep the 76–83°F range competitive. Updated NWS briefings and morning sounding data will refine the marine-layer forecast ahead of market resolution.
