Recent National Weather Service and private model runs have converged on overnight lows in the mid-60s for New York City on August 25, producing the near-even split between the 64–65°F (31.5%) and 66–67°F (34.5%) bins. Clear skies and light northwest winds overnight favor modest radiational cooling, while the urban heat-island effect and residual moisture from recent days keep temperatures from dropping into the lower 60s. Historical August climatology shows typical lows near 67°F, so current guidance sits slightly below average. Traders will watch the final 00Z and 12Z model cycles plus the evening NWS forecast update for any last adjustments before resolution.
