Recent Starship V3 flight tests, including Flight 13's intact upper-stage reentry and heat-shield data in July 2026, have advanced reusability milestones like repeated booster tower catches and orbital refueling demos, yet the market prices "No" at 59% primarily because a complete rapid-reuse cycle—tower catch of the ship plus verified reflight of both stages—remains unproven before year-end. Elon Musk's August 20 projection of the first ship reflight by late 2026 or early 2027, combined with persistent challenges around repeated heat-shield performance, regulatory approvals, and booster reliability, sustains trader skepticism. Key near-term catalysts include Flight 14's planned ship-catch attempt and initial orbital operations, which could shift sentiment if executed without further delays.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if SpaceX or Elon Musk announces that Starship is fully reusable by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
Note, this market refers to the Starship upper stage and does not require reusability for the Super-Heavy booster.
For this market to resolve to "Yes" it is not necessary that an actual reuse occur, only that SpaceX or Elon Musk announces that Starship is fully reusable by this market's resolution date.
The resolution source for this market is announcements by Elon Musk and SpaceX, or their official representatives.
