Current National Weather Service and private model guidance for Los Angeles on September 4, 2026, shows morning low clouds and fog giving way to sunshine, with overnight lows stabilizing in the mid-60s °F under light onshore flow. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 64.5 °F and reflects a typical early-September marine layer that moderates minimum temperatures near the coast. The near-even market split between 55 °F or below and 74 °F or higher highlights trader uncertainty around exact overnight radiative cooling versus any potential model shifts in wind or cloud cover that could push the minimum a few degrees lower or higher. Upcoming afternoon forecast updates from the Los Angeles/Oxnard NWS office will refine the precise minimum before resolution.
