Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to sunny skies, light northeast winds under 10 mph, and a stable high-pressure ridge supporting peak temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s for Atlanta on September 17, positioning the 90-91°F and 92-93°F bins as the dominant market-implied outcomes. Clear conditions overnight into Thursday will minimize cloud cover and allow efficient daytime insolation, while dew points in the low-to-mid 60s limit moisture-driven cooling; this aligns with recent daily maxima of 88-93°F and exceeds the 1991-2020 climatological average high of 83°F. Ensemble spreads remain modest given the benign pattern, though minor shifts in boundary-layer mixing or exact timing of peak heating could nudge the official Atlanta airport observation between the two leading ranges. Updated NWS forecasts and morning model runs will refine the final distribution ahead of resolution.
