Current National Weather Service and model guidance point to mostly sunny skies and light easterly winds across Atlanta on September 16, supporting daytime highs in the upper 80s to low 90s under a ridge of high pressure that has kept temperatures 10–15°F above the mid-September average of 83°F. Official forecasts cluster near 89–91°F, consistent with recent days of 88–93°F observed highs and minimal cloud cover or moisture to limit heating. This consensus underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward the 88–91°F bins, while the low probabilities assigned to 92°F+ reflect limited upside from any late-day mixing or slight model spread in peak temperature timing. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations will refine the final daily maximum.
