**Marine layer influence and onshore flow are anchoring trader expectations for a moderate high temperature in Los Angeles on September 13.** National Weather Service and local forecasts indicate morning low clouds and patchy fog transitioning to sunny conditions under southwest winds of 10–15 mph, with official guidance centering on an 78–80°F high at Los Angeles International Airport—the station most relevant for such markets. This setup reflects typical September climatology, where the cool Pacific marine layer limits afternoon heating despite clear skies later in the day. Recent model runs show little change, with no significant warming trend or offshore flow expected to push readings into the low 80s or above. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 78–81°F therefore tracks the narrow forecast range and historical precedent for mid-September maxima near 76–79°F. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model guidance remain the key near-term catalysts that could shift sentiment if marine effects weaken.
