Recent official forecasts from agencies including the Met Office project an afternoon high of 24–25°C for Mexico City on September 18, aligning with the market's leading outcomes at 25°C or higher (46.5%) and 24°C (36%). The city's high elevation near 2,240 meters typically caps September maxima around the seasonal average of 23–24°C, with current model runs showing limited cloud cover or rain suppressing further warming. Short-term numerical weather prediction ensembles exhibit minor spread due to variable steering flows, yet consensus supports mild conditions without extreme heat. Traders appear to weigh these model outputs heavily, as resolution hinges on verified station readings expected within hours of peak heating.
