This market will resolve to "Yes" if Kristi Noem and/or her spouse announce their intention to divorce by August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An announcement by the specified date of their intention to divorce will be sufficient for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of whether the divorce later actually occurs, or whether the actual divorce occurs outside of the timeframe of this market. The resolution source will be statements from Kristi Noem and/or her spouse, and their representatives, however a definitive consensus of credible media reporting may be considered.**Persistent rumors of marital strain surrounding Kristi Noem, former Homeland Security Secretary, have not translated into formal divorce proceedings.** Married to Bryon Noem since 1992, the couple faced intensified public scrutiny in early 2026 after Noem’s ouster from her Cabinet post amid questions over her professional relationship with adviser Corey Lewandowski, which both have denied. Separate reports in March 2026 detailed Bryon Noem’s alleged private activities, prompting statements that the family was blindsided and devastated, yet no petition or announcement of separation followed. Bryon Noem and extended family members have cited long-standing religious commitments and vows as reasons for remaining together despite the controversies. As of mid-June 2026, with roughly ten weeks until the August 31 resolution date, no verified filings, joint statements, or procedural steps indicate an imminent split. Trader consensus at 83.5% against a divorce by the deadline reflects the absence of concrete action amid years of speculation, consistent with the couple’s decades-long pattern of weathering political and personal pressures without formal dissolution.
