Goldman Sachs holds a narrow edge over Morgan Stanley in the Polymarket odds for lead bookrunner on Anthropic's IPO because the two banks were jointly selected as top underwriters following the company's June 2026 confidential S-1 filing, with the decisive "lead left" designation still unresolved. Both firms bring deep tech-sector expertise and strong distribution capabilities for large AI-related offerings, while JPMorgan's limited 3% probability reflects its secondary role on the mandate. The close contest mirrors similar jockeying reported for OpenAI's parallel IPO process, where the lead position confers greater allocation control and economics. Traders appear to be pricing the outcome around historical precedent for comparable megadeals and any forthcoming announcements on bank hierarchy ahead of a potential fall 2026 listing.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
