The approaching monsoon low-pressure system over the northwestern Bay of Bengal, forecast to track westward and reach Sindh by September 14, represents the dominant near-term driver for Karachi's overnight minimum temperatures. Pakistan Meteorological Department guidance indicates this system will deliver scattered thunderstorms, strong winds, and light to moderate rainfall from the evening of September 13 onward, with associated cloud cover and evaporative cooling likely to moderate nighttime lows toward the seasonal average of 26–28 °C. Current model consensus shows surface temperatures holding near 27–28 °C under partly to mostly cloudy conditions, well above historical September extremes but typical for the post-monsoon transition. Fresh PMD updates and refined short-range guidance on rainfall timing and intensity will provide the next key signals for any downward revision in minimum readings.
