Stable atmospheric conditions under weak high pressure and light northerly to easterly winds are keeping Shanghai's overnight temperatures mild, with official and model forecasts converging on a September 22 low of 22–24 °C. Multiple sources, including local meteorological reports and global models, project minimums near 22–23 °C amid partly cloudy skies and only isolated light showers, consistent with late-summer climatology when daily ranges narrow. Recent observations show no approaching cold fronts or tropical systems that would drive sharper cooling, supporting the market's heavy weighting toward 23 °C and 24 °C outcomes. Updated model runs and morning briefings from agencies like the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau will refine these projections ahead of the overnight period.
