If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Michigan, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Oakland County. The Michigan Democratic Senate primary remains closely contested in Oakland County due to the withdrawal of state Sen. Mallory McMorrow on July 5, 2026, which consolidated support between U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed ahead of the August 4 vote. Stevens benefits from recent endorsement by retiring Sen. Gary Peters and established local ties in suburban Oakland districts, while El-Sayed draws strength from progressive networks and differing emphases on health care and foreign policy. These factors, combined with the county's mix of Democratic voters and limited recent polling specific to the area, sustain the tight trader consensus reflected in current market pricing. Upcoming debates or additional endorsements could shift momentum before primary day.
