This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Victoria as a result of this election. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing assigns her an 81.5% implied probability, driven by her prior 55% win in 2022 and the absence of other announced mayoral contenders despite the September 11 nomination deadline. Business owner Melissa Cseszko, at 3.8%, has focused her campaign on downtown safety and accessibility issues but is positioned for council rather than the mayoralty. Limited opposition announcements and Alto’s platform updates on regional policing have reinforced expectations of low competition in this single-member contest.
