Incumbent Republican Jefferson Shreve faces Democrat Cynthia Wirth in Indiana’s 6th congressional district on November 3, 2026. The seat’s R+16 partisan voting index, combined with Shreve’s 2024 general-election margin of nearly 28 points and his May primary win consolidating party support, anchors trader consensus at 95.5% Republican. Nonpartisan ratings classify the district as safe or solid Republican, reflecting consistent voting patterns in eastern and central Indiana counties and the Democratic nominee’s limited resources. Absent major scandals, health events, or national midterm swings that typically fail to overcome such structural margins, the current pricing aligns with historical base rates for similarly rated seats.
