This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Esenboğa Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ltac If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current meteorological consensus points to a minimum temperature near 16°C in Ankara on September 2, driven by clear skies, light northeasterly winds, and efficient nocturnal radiative cooling under high pressure.** Multiple forecast models, including those from YR.no and local meteorological services, project daytime highs around 30–31°C falling to overnight lows of 16–17°C, with hourly data showing the coldest readings near dawn around 15–16°C as surface heat radiates away with minimal cloud cover or mixing. This aligns with early-September climatology for Ankara’s continental highland setting (elevation ~870 m), where average lows hover near 15°C amid dry, stable conditions. Low dew points (~11–12°C) and wind speeds under 3 m/s further promote cooling without significant advection of warmer air. Trader sentiment clusters tightly around 15–16°C because small variations in cloud timing, local urban heat effects, or model resolution can shift the exact minimum by 1–2°C, while probabilities for extremes (below 13°C or above 20°C) remain negligible given the stable pattern and absence of incoming fronts. Updated model runs and official briefings in the next 24 hours will refine the precise threshold for market resolution.
