Recent forecast guidance from the Met Office and ensemble models points to a minimum temperature in London on September 1 near 13–16 °C under building high pressure, light westerly winds, and variable cloud cover that limits radiational cooling overnight. This range aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of about 12.8 °C for the date, while the potential for clearer skies or calmer conditions could allow brief dips toward 13 °C and any increase in cloud or mixing could keep readings closer to 15–16 °C. Market-implied odds reflect this narrow spread and lingering model uncertainty on exact boundary-layer evolution, with traders assigning comparable weight to the 13 °C and 18 °C-or-higher outcomes as resolution nears.
