Current forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies point to a Pacific frontal system arriving over the Pacific Northwest, delivering widespread cloud cover, southerly winds, and periods of rain or showers to Seattle on September 13. These conditions are expected to suppress maximum temperatures into the mid-60s by limiting daytime insolation and enhancing evaporative cooling, aligning with market-implied odds favoring 64–67°F. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread around this range, though slight variations in frontal timing or rainfall intensity could allow brief clearing and a nudge toward 68–69°F. Historical September averages near 71°F underscore how this synoptic pattern deviates from typical late-summer warmth, concentrating trader consensus on the cooler outcomes ahead of final observational data.
