Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for San Francisco on September 8 points to overnight lows near 59–63°F amid a warming trend and variable marine layer influence. Clear to partly cloudy conditions favor greater radiative cooling after sunset, potentially allowing readings in the upper 50s, while persistent stratus or onshore flow could limit drops and support mid-60s values. This uncertainty, plus San Francisco’s microclimate sensitivity to fog depth and wind shifts, explains the tight market spread between the 58–59°F bin and higher or lower brackets. Updated model runs and evening observations will refine the minimum before resolution.
