Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model consensus point to a Tuesday high in the mid-60s for New York City, driven by persistent northeasterly flow and extensive cloud cover following Monday's frontal passage and cool-air advection. This setup favors the market's leading 64-65°F bin while limiting afternoon warming, with 24-hour model trends showing little shift in steering patterns or boundary-layer moisture. Historical September climatology for Central Park places typical highs near 75°F, underscoring how the current synoptic regime suppresses readings by roughly 10°F. Traders are watching the next NWS forecast discussion and updated high-resolution model runs for any late adjustments ahead of the 22nd observation window.
