Current National Weather Service and private forecast models project a minimum temperature in the upper 70s to low 80s for Dallas on September 6 under clear skies, persistent high pressure, and light southerly flow advecting warm, moist air with dew points near 70°F. This setup favors radiative cooling limited by humidity and minimal wind, producing overnight lows several degrees above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 73.6°F. The tightly bunched market probabilities around 78–83°F reflect ensemble spread in boundary-layer mixing and exact timing of any weak moisture return, with 80–81°F holding the highest implied probability as the most consistent outcome across recent model runs.
