Recent forecasts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and European models point to a highest temperature near 19–20°C in Helsinki on August 21, driven by mild southwesterly flow under variable cloud cover with limited daytime heating. Late-summer climatology shows average daily maxima around 19°C, and current guidance indicates no strong warm advection or clear-sky amplification that would push readings to 21°C or higher. Minor differences between 19°C and 20°C hinge on exact timing of any afternoon sun breaks versus scattered showers, plus model resolution of local sea-breeze effects along the Gulf of Finland. With resolution based on official observations at Helsinki stations, traders weigh ensemble spread in the final 48-hour updates.
