Recent July ISM Services PMI data at 54.1, modestly below consensus and little changed from June, anchors trader focus on whether August readings will sustain the multi-month expansion streak near 54 or soften after temporary World Cup-related boosts. Strong business activity and new orders contrast with renewed employment contraction and elevated price pressures near 70, while tariff and geopolitical commentary has eased. With market-implied odds tightly clustered between the 53.0–53.9 and 54.0–54.9 bands, outcomes hinge on upcoming labor reports, inflation releases, and any post-event normalization in services demand ahead of the September 3 report.

This market will resolve to the bracket containing the ISM Services PMI for August 2026 according to the monthly ISM Services PMI Report On Business.
The resolution source for this market will be the ISM Services PMI Report On Business released for August 2026 (https://www.ismworld.org/supply-management-news-and-reports/reports/ism-report-on-business/), currently scheduled to be released on September 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET.
