Caroline Elliott has emerged as the dominant frontrunner in the British Columbia Conservative Party leadership race, with recent internal polling showing her at 31 percent first-preference support among members ahead of Kerry-Lynne Findlay at 24 percent. Multiple candidates who withdrew after the April fee deadline, including Harman Bhangu and Darrell Jones, endorsed Elliott, consolidating support in the preferential ballot system. The race, which has grown party membership beyond 42,000, features five remaining contenders following Warren Hamm’s earlier exit and backing of Yuri Fulmer. Ballots were mailed to members in early May, with voting scheduled to conclude by May 29 and a winner expected May 30. These developments, combined with Elliott’s profile as a policy commentator and her emphasis on economic and housing priorities, have shaped trader assessments of the outcome.
