Recent forecast consensus from models including GFS and ECMWF points to a daily maximum near 24°C in Mexico City on September 2, driven by partly cloudy skies, scattered thunderstorms typical of the central Mexican rainy season, and the moderating influence of the city's 2,240-meter elevation. Ensemble guidance shows afternoon peaks clustered between 23–25°C, with cloud cover and precipitation limiting stronger surface heating while preventing sharp drops. Historical September averages of 22–23°C provide context, and no significant model shifts have emerged in the latest runs to alter the 24°C bin's lead at 44% implied probability. Traders weigh these factors against potential convective variability that could nudge the exact high.
