Recent forecasts from Environment Canada and major models indicate a high near 28°C for Toronto on September 2 amid a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with some guidance reaching 30°C under brief clearing. This supports the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 27–30°C. Seasonal late-summer warmth persists ahead of a frontal passage, while variable cloud cover, southerly flow, and convective timing create model spread on whether daytime peaks exceed or fall short of 29°C. Historical averages near 24°C provide baseline context, but current guidance shows modest positive anomalies tempered by precipitation that can suppress maxima. Updated model runs and official briefings in the next 24–48 hours will refine resolution criteria tied to the official daily maximum at Pearson Airport.
