Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate a frontal system and increased cloud cover with widespread rain and thunderstorms over Tokyo on September 4, 2026, suppressing daytime heating and introducing northerly winds that advect cooler air. This setup favors overnight lows in the 21–23°C range, consistent with historical early-September baselines near 22°C but tempered by reduced insolation and elevated humidity. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread around these values, with minimal risk of extremes below 20°C or above 25°C absent major model shifts. Traders have priced the 22–24°C outcomes highest, reflecting consensus on the system’s timing and intensity ahead of potential forecast updates from the Japan Meteorological Agency.
