Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts for Atlanta on September 6, 2026, converge on a daytime high of 96–97 °F under mostly sunny skies, with a 30–50 % chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms that are unlikely to cap the maximum. This places the outcome squarely in the two leading market bins (94–95 °F and 96–97 °F), whose combined 92.5 % implied probability reflects trader consensus around the official guidance. The reading would exceed the 1991–2020 September 6 average of 85.8 °F and sit near the upper end of recent early-September values (94–96 °F), consistent with a persistent warm, high-pressure pattern across the Southeast. Updated model runs and any late-day convective timing remain the primary variables that could shift final verified temperatures within the narrow favored range.
