Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance points to a high temperature in the mid-70s for New York City on September 6, driven by persistent northeast flow ahead of a weak front that is limiting daytime warming. This setup favors readings near 73–75°F, cooler than the 1991–2020 climatological average high of about 79.5°F, with limited diurnal heating expected under partly to mostly cloudy skies and light winds. Ensemble spreads remain modest two days out, though minor shifts in frontal timing or cloud cover could nudge the peak into the upper or lower end of that range. Updated short-range model runs and National Weather Service forecast discussions will provide the next key data points for traders assessing resolution probabilities.
