Recent National Weather Service forecasts for New York City on September 4, 2026, show a high in the mid-80s under partly sunny skies with northwest winds of 5–10 mph and only a slight afternoon shower chance. This follows a more humid, stormy September 3 with highs near 86°F, as a frontal passage promotes modest cooling and clearing. Model consensus aligns with climatological norms for early September, where average highs reach about 80°F but recent warm anomalies and humidity support readings in the 84–87°F range. These conditions position the 84–85°F and 86–87°F bins as the leading market-implied outcomes, with limited upside risk from lingering moisture or model shifts before final observations at the official station.
