Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to overnight lows in the low-to-mid 70s for New York City on September 4, driven by persistent humidity, scattered cloud cover, and light northwest winds that limit radiational cooling. These conditions follow a warm, moist air mass established earlier in the week, with September 3 lows already near 70–73 °F. Trader consensus around the 72–75 °F bins reflects the narrow spread in current ensemble forecasts and the low probability of clear skies or stronger advection that would allow temperatures to drop toward the 65 °F climatological average. Updated model runs and any evening observations will provide the final inputs before resolution.
