National Weather Service forecasts for New York City on September 5 emphasize sunny conditions under northerly flow following earlier frontal passage, with daytime highs projected in the lower 80s and lows near 67°F. This setup, driven by clear skies, light winds, and reduced humidity, aligns with model consensus favoring a peak around 80–81°F and underpins the 55% market-implied probability for that bin. Nearby outcomes at 78–79°F capture residual forecast spread from minor timing or microclimate differences, while higher or lower ranges reflect lower odds of deviations from the stable post-frontal pattern. Updated NWS guidance and short-range model runs will refine exact maxima before resolution.
