Recent ensemble forecasts from the Met Office and ECMWF highlight genuine uncertainty for London's September 4 maximum, with model spreads centering on 22–24 °C amid a transition to westerly flow and scattered showers. Southwesterly winds and variable cloud cover are expected to moderate daytime heating, limiting peaks compared to the warmer Thursday outlook of 26–27 °C, while any breaks in cloud could allow brief warming toward 24 °C. Historical early-September baselines for London average near 20 °C, providing context for the current elevated but unsettled pattern. Market-implied odds favoring 22–23 °C align with this model consensus and the narrow resolution window, though updated runs or observed conditions on the day could shift probabilities.
