Recent National Weather Service and commercial forecasts indicate Chicago's overnight low on September 6 will likely settle in the mid-60s amid northeast winds shifting cooler air onshore after a prolonged heat wave. Highs near 78°F and clearing skies overnight support minimums around 66–68°F, well above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 62.6°F but cooler than the prior three nights' lows in the upper 70s. Model consensus shows limited spread, with minimal precipitation risk and stable high pressure limiting further cooling or warming surprises. Trader odds remain fragmented across bins near 60–71°F because small forecast revisions in wind speed, cloud cover, or lake-effect moderation could easily shift the final reading by a few degrees before resolution.
