**Persistent warm, humid air and extensive cloud cover from showers and thunderstorms are keeping overnight lows elevated across New York City on September 3.** Official forecasts from sources including the National Weather Service and local models project minimum temperatures in the lower 70s, with most guidance centering on 70–73°F amid southwest flow, high dew points near 70°F, and limited radiational cooling under overcast skies. This aligns with the market’s leading outcomes—70–71°F at 41% implied probability, followed by 68–69°F and 72–73°F—reflecting the current warm, moist regime rather than typical early-September averages near 65°F. Recent model consensus shows no significant cold-air advection or clearing that would allow sharper drops, supporting trader focus on this narrow band while leaving room for minor revisions as evening observations arrive.
