**Forecast consensus from NOAA and private models points to a mid-70s overnight low for Austin on September 5, driven by persistent southerly flow, high dew points near 75°F, and limited radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies.** This setup suppresses the typical 5–8°F drop below the 70.8°F climatological average, with steering patterns and light southeast winds (around 5 mph) preventing stronger cooling. Minor variations in afternoon thunderstorm timing or cloud thickness could shift the minimum by 1–2°F across the 74–78°F range, explaining why market-implied probabilities remain tightly clustered near 25% with no single bucket dominating. Updated NWS and model runs in the next 24–48 hours will refine the exact threshold.
