Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for Miami indicates a minimum temperature on September 5 most likely in the upper 70s to low 80s, driven by persistent mid-level ridging, southeasterly flow, and high dew points that limit nocturnal cooling despite scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Official point forecasts show overnight lows near 78–81°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies, consistent with climatological September norms for the region and the absence of any strong cold-air advection. Model consensus remains tight on this range, though timing of evening convection and boundary-layer mixing introduce modest uncertainty that could nudge the reading a degree or two lower if storms linger or higher if clear skies develop earlier. Traders have priced the 78–81°F buckets accordingly, reflecting the skin-in-the-game assessment of these near-term forecast variables.
