Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Miami on September 18 projects an afternoon high in the upper 80s amid easterly flow, elevated humidity near 75 percent, and scattered thunderstorms that typically limit peak heating through cloud cover and evaporative cooling. These conditions align with the late-September climatological average high of 89 °F while reducing the chance of exceeding 90 °F. Trader consensus favoring the 88–89 °F bin (42.5 percent) and 90–91 °F bin (29.5 percent) reflects this forecast consensus and historical frequency of highs near 88–90 °F, tempered by uncertainty in exact convective timing and any late-day clearing that could allow brief additional warming. Updated model runs and afternoon observations tomorrow will refine the final observed maximum.
