Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on September 16 point to a classic marine-layer regime, with morning low clouds, patchy drizzle near the coast, and afternoon southwest winds limiting warming. Forecasts for representative stations such as LAX cluster between 75–78 °F, aligning with the September climatological normal of roughly 76 °F and recent days’ observed highs near 78–80 °F. This marine influence and modest onshore flow explain the market’s strong weighting toward a 76–77 °F daily maximum, with lower probabilities assigned to warmer inland or hotter-scenario outcomes. Updated model runs and official briefings through the morning will refine the exact peak before resolution.
