Current forecasts from NOAA and regional models indicate a high of 76–77°F for Los Angeles on September 17, 2026, under typical September marine layer influence with morning low clouds clearing to partly sunny skies and southwest winds around 15 mph. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 76.2°F and explains the market's strong consensus on the 76–77°F bin at 56.5% implied probability, followed by 74–75°F at 34.5%. Recent observational data show stable atmospheric conditions without heat advection or anomalous warming, keeping upside outcomes like 78°F+ below 6% combined. Traders are weighting official model consensus and historical analogs, with resolution hinging on the daily maximum at official stations such as Los Angeles International Airport.
