The Trump administration’s Gold Card visa program, launched via executive order in late 2025, offers permanent U.S. residency for a $1 million contribution plus a $15,000 processing fee. Recent congressional testimony confirmed only one approval by April 2026, despite earlier claims of rapid multibillion-dollar interest, with just hundreds of applications submitted amid competition from lower-cost EB-5 investor visas. Processing delays, legal uncertainties, and subdued demand from high-net-worth foreigners have kept volumes low. With seven months left before year-end resolution, trader consensus assigns the strongest probability to the 1-100 outcome range, consistent with the program’s slow start and structural obstacles.
