The Democrats, the Labor-Meretz alliance led by Yair Golan, remain tightly bunched in recent polling averages around 8-10 Knesset seats ahead of the October 27 election, reflecting limited recovery for the Zionist left amid voter migration toward centrist lists such as Yashar and Together. Persistent effects from the 2023 Hamas attacks and subsequent conflicts have shaped bloc competition without delivering decisive momentum to any single opposition grouping, while surplus vote agreements and the 3.25% threshold add mechanical uncertainty to final allocations. Recent primaries and candidate slate finalization have stabilized the party's internal positioning but have not shifted broader trends. Late-campaign security developments, turnout variations among key demographics, or shifts in centrist support could widen the range by altering surplus transfers or overall opposition cohesion.
