Wang Chung-ming, the Kuomintang incumbent magistrate of Lienchiang County since 2022, leads the Polymarket with an 84.5% implied probability ahead of the November 28, 2026, local elections. Traders price in his incumbency advantages, including prior deputy experience, established party organizational networks, and the county's longstanding KMT voting patterns in magistrate races. Potential challengers such as Tsao Erh-yuan at 7.5% and Tsao Erh-chang at 0.5% remain marginal, reflecting limited reported nominations or primary contests to date. July 2026 KMT leadership events across counties reinforced party cohesion without indicating shifts in this race. The wide margin captures these structural factors while leaving room for late entries or primary outcomes to adjust probabilities before the vote.
