The NY-21 race features an open seat following Elise Stefanik’s decision not to seek re-election, with Republican nominee Anthony Constantino facing Democrat Blake Gendebien in the November 3 general election. Both candidates secured their party nominations in the June 23 primaries. The district’s R+10 partisan voter index and rural character have historically favored Republican candidates, contributing to the current 73% consensus for the Republican Party. Cook Political Report rates the contest Solid or Lean Republican, while recent prediction-market pricing aligns closely with this assessment. Limited post-primary polling and the absence of major campaign developments or national shifts in the past month have kept probabilities stable, with trader consensus reflecting the structural Republican advantage in this upstate New York district.
