With the 2027 Oscars still far off, trader consensus on Best Adapted Screenplay shows a wide-open field where The Odyssey holds the highest implied probability at 27.5 percent on the strength of its prestige source material and expected awards positioning. The Black Ball and The Invite follow closely, reflecting early industry buzz around their narrative scope, while Project Hail Mary, Dune: Part Three, and The Adventures of Cliff Booth draw support from franchise momentum and established creative teams. Guild screenings, critics' circles, and late-2026 release tracking will serve as key swing factors, though the secret-ballot nature of Academy voting leaves room for late shifts.
